2019 has come and gone and the real estate market in Broomfield had a very strong year. As a whole, the market throughout the Denver metro area softened and Broomfield was no different. I believe this was a very good thing for the market as the historical appreciation rates we experienced in the previous two years was making it impossible for some to afford living in Broomfield. In 2019, homes appreciated by 3.38% which is much closer to the historic average. I saw many more renters emerge in the buyers market in 2019 and I firmly believe it was due to the slowing of home prices. Competition was less fierce and it made for a less stressful process for many. If you are thinking of purchasing a home this year could be a great time with many experts projecting a similar market in 2020.
Now that 2019 is in the rear view mirror it’s also important to understand what may happen in the Broomfield real estate market in 2020. I recently wrote blog posts about this very topic with some great insights from real estates most respected sources.
